Senior Platform Engineer - GenAI & Cloud

About the role

Caylent is an AI-first cloud services company, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and a member of Anthropic's Claude Partner Network, offering cloud migration, cloud-native development, data and analytics, DevOps, security and customer experience services. It is a fully remote global company with teams in Canada, the United States and Latin America. The Senior Platform Engineer builds and extends Caylent's internal AI-native platform covering process automation, GenAI/agentic tooling (on AWS Bedrock) and delivery enablement, while keeping the services that power it running. The role sits in the Builders team and works closely with teammates and temporary collaborators.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend solutions for core services using Python and Terraform.
• Build and extend GenAI/agentic solutions (RAG, tool-calling agents, evaluation loops) on AWS Bedrock.
• Contribute to frontend interfaces (React/Vite) for the tools and platforms.
• Optimize and maintain cloud-native applications with a focus on scalability, performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to develop tools that improve process efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
• Contribute to service enhancements aligned with business objectives and technical best practices.

Required profile

• Experience developing Generative AI solutions, including at least one simple AI-powered feature or application built end-to-end, with comfort in the AI SDLC.
• Experience deploying and managing services in a cloud-native environment.
• Experience with frontend development (React/Vite).

Required skills

• Python for backend development.
• Terraform.
• AWS Bedrock and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• React and Vite.
• Preferred: knowledge of AI/ML model integration, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Rust, and understanding of process optimization and SG&A efficiency.
