Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Chevron Global Business Services (GBS), based in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina, is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer. The role takes an active part in the software development lifecycle, designing, developing, testing and maintaining software solutions using Microsoft Azure services. It is a single opening.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver complex software features and components with high quality and minimal supervision.
• Allocate effort across development, bug fixing, refactoring and technical improvements.
• Take ownership of assigned technical tasks from design through implementation and support.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction and code quality improvements.
• Contribute to sprint planning by estimating, sizing and committing to work items, and prioritize work to meet sprint goals, release timelines and production stability.
• Support production issues and take part in root cause analysis when required.
• Advocate within the Scrum team for the use of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to speed up delivery.
• Work with business stakeholders, product owners, architects and cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with C#/.NET (Framework and .NET Core/.NET 8+).
• 3+ years of experience with TypeScript and frontend frameworks (Angular and/or React).
• At least 2 years with relational databases (SQL, DML, DDL, data modeling).
• At least 2 years with cloud platforms (Azure, CI/CD).
• At least 3 years building and consuming REST APIs.
• At least 3 years applying software design principles (clean code, refactoring, debugging).

Preferred qualifications

• Python, Ansible and NoSQL database experience.
• Automated unit and integration testing.
• Deep Azure expertise (App Services, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, Storage, Application Insights).
• Integrating generative AI, LLMs or Azure OpenAI into enterprise apps.
• Azure Kubernetes Service, Docker and cloud-native architectures.
