ABAP Application Developer

About the role

Chevron's Business Support Center (BASSC) in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero) is hiring an ABAP Application Developer. The center is a multifunction service center with more than 1,800 employees delivering business services and solutions worldwide. The role involves working with teams and IT partners around the world to provide SAP application development services to internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Request prioritization and delegation, and analyze problems and requirements
• Develop enhancements and resolve incidents in ABAP, S/4 HANA and Fiori
• Perform unit testing and support functional, integration and user acceptance testing, including defect resolution
• Produce technical documentation and carry out code quality reviews
• Take part in project implementation and the development of modifications and enhancements
• Stay up to date with Chevron's technologies such as Fiori/SAPUI5, SAP Cloud Platform, HANA, BTP, RAP and CAP
• Establish and maintain standards

Required profile

• SAP application development experience, including problem, requirements, risk/benefit analysis and technical documentation
• At least 4 years developing SAP ABAP applications (RICEFW)
• At least 2 years developing SAP Fiori applications
• At least 2 years developing ABAP backend REST APIs for external systems
• Experience developing, updating or adapting programs for SAP on HANA
• At least 1 year using ATC to identify and fix ABAP code vulnerabilities, knowledge of OAuth
• Knowledge of agile (Scrum/Kanban/Scaled Agile), waterfall, ITSM incident and change management, and documentation of technical specifications
