Senior Data Engineer (LATAM)

About the role

We are seeking a senior data engineer to join a small, senior Data & Analytics team at a real‑estate investment firm. You will take ownership of an existing Snowflake‑based data platform, stabilise it, improve reliability and automate manual processes to support investment and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and stabilise the current data platform, prioritising fixes and improvements.
• Design, implement and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across 40+ data sources.
• Manage Snowflake warehouse sizing, cost, MERGE patterns, streams, tasks and clustering.
• Ensure data quality, lineage and documentation through code reviews and testing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience with ownership of production platforms.
• Strong judgment to identify and communicate priority problems to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work asynchronously with distributed teams and provide constructive feedback.

Required skills

• Snowflake (warehouse sizing, cost management, streams, tasks, MERGE).
• Advanced SQL (window functions, performance tuning).
• Data modelling and layered architecture (raw, staging, marts).
• ETL/ELT pipeline development and orchestration (dbt, Airflow or Dagster).
• Experience with AI‑enhanced workflows.
