About the role

We are looking for a dynamic leader to head our Direct Tax function across multiple Latin American countries. The role combines strategic tax planning, team leadership, and close collaboration with corporate finance and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Direct Tax team, fostering efficient and collaborative work.
• Manage all direct tax matters, including current and deferred taxes, for assigned entities.
• Ensure compliance with local tax obligations, filing returns and informational regimes.
• Analyze intercompany transactions and assess their tax implications.
• Coordinate transfer pricing matters and related obligations.
• Oversee monthly and annual tax close processes, including provisions and tax reporting under IFRS/US GAAP.
• Prepare and monitor the Direct Tax budget, explaining variances.
• Track cash tax, effective tax rate and other key tax metrics.
• Support global reporting requirements such as Pillar II and foreign profit reports.
• Manage tax audits, inspections and authority requests.
• Provide technical tax advice to corporate and business areas.
• Identify opportunities for process standardisation and automation.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong experience in direct tax compliance and corporate income‑tax accounting.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany operations (preferred).
• Experience with tax close, deferred tax and tax reporting under IFRS/US GAAP.
• Proven team coordination or leadership experience.
• English and Portuguese language skills are a plus.
