Certified Public Accountant – Client‑Facing Presence & Accounting Support

About the role

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper with a teaching background to provide day‑to‑day accounting support for small and medium‑sized business clients. The role is fully remote and requires a confident, camera‑comfortable presence to explain financial concepts directly to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client‑facing contact, presenting financial results and answering questions via video calls.
• Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including bank and credit‑card reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, bill payment and collections.
• Prepare and present financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and oversee month‑end close for assigned clients.
• Maintain audit‑ready records in QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems, flagging discrepancies and process gaps.

Required profile

• Advanced bookkeeping experience with end‑to‑end ownership of client books.
• Teaching or client‑facing experience explaining finance/accounting concepts.
• Degree or credential in education/teaching with finance or accounting as a secondary focus.
• Strong presentation skills and comfort on video calls.
• Formal accounting education or coursework.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP as applied to small‑business reporting.
• Ability to produce accurate financial statements and reports.
