Application Engineer - Hyperion Financial Management

About the role

Chevron's Global Business Services (GBS) unit in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero) is hiring an Application Engineer for Finance IT Operations, focused on Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). The role takes part in the full software development lifecycle, with a main focus on ongoing support of existing software solutions, and requires deep knowledge of the business domain, workflows and processes. Key responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support for HFM, including data integration, report generation, system maintenance and financial close activities.
• Work with IT and finance teams to understand business requirements and implement solutions that improve HFM functionality.
• Support acquisitions and divestment activities, and internal and external auditing requirements.
• Take part in regular system maintenance, including updates, patches and configuration changes.
• Develop and maintain documentation for HFM processes, procedures and best practices.
• Assist in designing and implementing new features and enhancements for HFM.
• Train and support end users on HFM applications and related tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience in application engineering, with a focus on Hyperion Financial Management, including its architecture, modules and functionalities.
• Strong understanding of financial management processes and systems (business planning and budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and consolidation).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferred: knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements; experience with agile methods (Scrum/Kanban).

Required skills

• Hyperion Financial Management, including data integration, consolidation and reporting.
• Other Oracle EPM products such as FCCS, PBCS, Hyperion Planning and FDMEES.
• System integration, performance tuning and troubleshooting, including integration with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
• Creating and maintaining complex financial reports with Hyperion Reports, Smart View and similar tools.
• Understanding of the HFM application model, including metadata structures, dimensions and hierarchies.
