AI Enablement Director (LATAM)

About the role

Backblaze is launching a company‑wide AI transformation program and seeks an AI Enablement Director for the LATAM region. Reporting to the CHRO, you will own the end‑to‑end AI use‑case lifecycle, turning ideas into production‑ready solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Own the AI use‑case pipeline: triage requests, refine problem statements, size value, and maintain a prioritized queue across functions.
• Lead each use case through discovery, scoping, pilot, and launch, coordinating functional owners, IT, Engineering, Legal, and Finance.
• Conduct structured current‑state assessments, map existing workflows, and identify high‑volume, repetitive, or research‑intensive processes suitable for AI.
• Design appropriate solutions, selecting off‑the‑shelf tools, prompt layers, vendor products, or custom builds as needed.
• Measure and report the impact of AI initiatives, ensuring clear, quantifiable results by Q3.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI or automation programs end‑to‑end in a large organization.
• Strong ability to translate business problems into AI use cases and to drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical and measurement skills to quantify AI impact.
• Comfort working with functional directors, engineering teams, legal, and finance stakeholders.
