Windows System Engineer

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Windows System Engineer to join its global R&D and engineering services team. You will work on deployment automation, imaging, and configuration of Windows devices across enterprise and retail environments, ensuring reliable and secure system delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automated deployment and system configuration.
• Create and manage Windows OS images using MDT, PXE, and bare‑metal workflows.
• Configure and troubleshoot PC hardware components, including BIOS/UEFI and chipset settings.
• Integrate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and peripheral devices as required.
• Collaborate with monitoring teams using Splunk, Datadog, and Docker to ensure system health.

Required profile

• At least one year of relevant experience in Windows system engineering.
• Strong understanding of programming concepts and software design principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering reliable results.

Required skills

• Advanced PowerShell scripting.
• Windows OS imaging and customization.
• Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), PXE, and bare‑metal deployment.
• PC hardware fundamentals, BIOS/UEFI, and chipset configuration.
• POS system integration and peripheral device handling.
• Version control with Git/GitHub.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and incident management tools (optional).
• Monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
• Containerization basics with Docker.
