Team Leader – Know Your Customer (KYC) Operations

About the role

As a KYC Team Leader you will guide a group of analysts in delivering a robust KYC due‑diligence program, ensuring customer records comply with Know Your Customer, Anti‑Money Laundering and financial‑crime requirements. You will oversee refresh and remediation activities, balancing risk management with a positive experience for merchants and internal partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach the team, providing regular feedback, performance appraisals and recognition.
• Monitor and improve staff and process performance against quality standards and timelines.
• Drive process improvement and remediation efforts in collaboration with support teams.
• Handle complex cases, apply sound judgement and manage escalations.
• Conduct hiring decisions, schedule training and run team meetings.

Required profile

• Advanced written and oral English proficiency.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to evaluate data from multiple sources.
• Experience leading and motivating teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Data analytics knowledge (plus).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (plus).
