Finance Analyst

About the role

Chevron's Business Support Center (BASSC) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is hiring a Finance Analyst. The BASSC supports all Chevron business segments (Upstream, Midstream and Downstream) and offers the chance to work across different groups as your career progresses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis support for the business and accounting support, including reconciliation analysis
• Apply accounting fundamentals and principles to operational and closing activities
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and strive for process efficiencies
• Build relationships with internal partners and external customers
• Support capital budgeting and cost analysis, corporate or company-specific accounting and regulatory reporting, and financial forecasting, analysis and reporting
• Support finance and accounting counsel and consulting, internal controls and compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and reporting, and corporate and excise tax credit
• Track accountability and scorecard metrics, and support month-end close activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, completed or in its final stages
• 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance positions
• Advanced English level
• Preferred: finance or accounting degree, and experience with automation, productivity tools, SAP or JDE
