Tax Analyst Staff – German Tax Returns (PAS Germany)

About the role

EY is looking for a Tax Analyst Staff for its core-tax mobility team in CABA. You will work on German tax returns and related activities for expatriates from various clients, after receiving robust training in German tax technical areas. The role involves constant interaction with clients and expatriates in German and English.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze fiscal data and tax questionnaires
• Prepare tax returns for tax residents and non-residents in Germany
• Prepare fiscal equalization calculations and hypothetical taxes when required
• Review tax assessments and tax inquiries issued by the German tax authority
• Take part in weekly calls with the account managers and keep the team lead informed of progress
• Take part in technical trainings

Required profile

• Advanced student or graduate in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
• C1 German (written and spoken) and fluency in English
• Any experience with German personal income tax law or DATEV Income Tax software is an added advantage
• Prior corporate experience is not required but is an advantage

• Proficiency in MS Office
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Team player with good people management skills
• Ability to work with remote team members and use technology effectively
