FAAS Senior - EY Global Delivery Services

About the role

EY GDS Argentina is hiring a FAAS Senior within its Assurance team. The role works closely with Assistant Managers, Managers and Senior Managers on client engagements across the Americas and EMEIA, providing accounting and regulatory advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the quality of service delivery and direct the daily progress of fieldwork, keeping Supervisors informed of engagement status
• Deliver FAAS solutions under the Global service delivery framework, including purchase price accounting, divestiture/carve-out accounting, IPOs, SPACs and fresh-start (bankruptcy) accounting
• Prepare financial statements and MD&A, and support GAAP conversion
• Support accounting policy and governance, accounting processes and controls (remediation, long-term contract accounting, cost accounting)
• Research and benchmark client data against industry data, explain critical success factors to the engagement team and follow up client requests promptly
• Apply independent professional judgment to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and apply knowledge of accounting concepts and firm policies to complex situations

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting
• 2-5 years in Assurance, including at least 1 year of Financial Accounting and Advisory experience
• Experience in at least three of: transaction accounting and reporting (IPOs, SPACs, carve-outs, PPA), GAAP conversions, accounting policy drafting, technical accounting research, consolidation and compilation support, financial statement close support, audit remediation, benchmarking and market analysis
• Big Four experience is an added advantage

Required skills

• Good understanding of IFRS, US and UK GAAP
• Good understanding of Indian accounting and auditing standards
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills
• Comfortable researching client inquiries, regulations, industry practices and new technologies
• Willingness to travel on short notice
