Senior Python Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer to design and deliver AI‑powered API services and orchestration layers that connect large language models with internal systems, vector databases and external tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend API services and LLM orchestration layers.
• Implement complex Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embedding and retrieval optimisation.
• Ensure security, privacy, observability and comprehensive test coverage for all workflows.
• Own API contracts and service reliability end‑to‑end, handling AI edge cases gracefully.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, engineering standards and reusable orchestration frameworks.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python for high‑performance, cloud‑native APIs.
• Experience with AWS, Docker and ECS/EKS environments.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication and authorization.
