Senior Infrastructure Manager - Cloud & Azure

About the role

Softgic is looking for a Senior Manager, Infrastructure Operations in Cordoba to lead a team of infrastructure engineers who support, maintain and evolve mission-critical production environments. It is a hands-on leadership role combining people management, technical leadership, cloud infrastructure and operational excellence, working closely with Development, Architecture, Program Management and other technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3-6 infrastructure engineers, providing coaching, mentoring and career development.
• Support, configure, monitor and expand application infrastructure and services in complex production environments.
• Lead cloud assessments, solution design, workload migrations and cloud infrastructure implementations, including Microsoft Azure environments.
• Manage multiple Azure subscriptions and tenants, and implement and support Azure Site Recovery and other disaster recovery technologies.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and service quality; troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, DR plans, and capacity planning specifications.
• Collaborate with MSPs, hosting providers and external support organisations, and act as technical project lead for major initiatives.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and on-call support.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, operations, systems administration or application support in production environments.
• At least 5 years in a technical leadership or management role, with proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Availability for on-call rotations and occasional after-hours work.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including multiple subscriptions and tenants.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Site Recovery and disaster recovery planning.
• Container technologies such as Docker and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Scripting and automation across Windows and Linux; working knowledge of SQL Server, VMware and data centre infrastructure.
• Preferred: experience with SSAE-16, SOC 1, SOC 2, large-scale SaaS platforms, MSPs and hybrid cloud environments.
