Senior Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

Remote is looking for a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to independently manage employee exits and provide first‑level employee‑relations support for its global client base. The role combines legal compliance, high‑quality service and the opportunity to influence process improvements across more than 80 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end employee off‑boarding across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring legal compliance and a superior experience for clients and employees.
• Lead and facilitate termination, resignation, redundancy and workforce‑reduction meetings, negotiating outcomes with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Customer Success) and external parties (government bodies, trade unions) to ensure accurate documentation and compliance.
• Provide first‑level employee‑relations guidance, conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns and advise on progressive discipline.
• Mentor junior team members, drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with full‑cycle HR competencies.
• Proven track record managing voluntary and involuntary employee exits with legal compliance.
• Strong knowledge of employee‑relations principles, progressive discipline and workplace investigations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict‑management skills, able to lead difficult conversations.
• Business‑level proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, asynchronous remote environment.
