Senior Cybersecurity Fraud Analyst

About the role

Intuition Machines builds enterprise security products with AI/ML, including the hCaptcha security suite, and has a team distributed worldwide. As a Senior Cybersecurity Fraud Analyst, you will use your expertise in data analysis, financial transactions and web traffic analysis to identify and investigate potential fraud on the hCaptcha SaaS platform. The position is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, identify and analyse events from diverse data sources, including financial transactions and web traffic, to detect and respond to fraud.
• Conduct advanced investigations of suspected fraud, analysing behaviour patterns and anomalies to assess risk and decide on actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Customer Support to strengthen fraud detection and prevention.
• Help build and align fraud detection automation, dashboards and reports.
• Audit and refine fraud detection measures to stay compliant with industry standards and best practices.
• Stay informed about emerging fraud trends, technologies and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in fraud detection, financial data analysis, risk management or trust & safety.
• In-depth understanding of fraud detection methodologies and the fraud landscape.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English, able to work across teams.
• Nice to have: hands-on web security and secure configuration experience, interest in fraud prevention trends, familiarity with modern fraud machine learning, and a valid CFE, CFS, CFF or CISA certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL and ideally Python for data analysis and visualization.
• Familiarity with web-based and API abuse analysis.
• Interviews include reading and understanding every line of code you write.
