Senior CXE Engineer – AI & Amazon Connect

About the role

Caylent is seeking a Senior CXE Engineer to lead enterprise contact‑center transformations. The role is fully remote and focuses on building AI‑native self‑service solutions, Amazon Connect platform engineering, and full‑stack serverless applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI agents using Amazon Connect, Amazon Q, and Amazon Bedrock (Claude models), including prompt engineering, tool‑calling, and multi‑agent orchestration.
• Develop contact flows, Lambda‑backed business logic, Cases/Tasks solutions, and analytics data lakes on AWS (Glue, Athena, QuickSight).
• Build custom agent workspaces with the Amazon Connect Streams API and integrate CRM systems such as Salesforce and ServiceNow.
• Author infrastructure as code with AWS CDK (TypeScript) and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with automated testing.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years building on Amazon Connect or comparable CCaaS platforms at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to work directly with customer engineering teams, lead technical sessions, and mentor junior engineers.

• Amazon Connect (contact flows, routing, Cases, Tasks, Contact Lens, Streams API).
• AWS serverless services: Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, Kinesis.
• Generative AI platforms: Amazon Bedrock, Claude, Amazon Lex, prompt engineering.
• Programming: TypeScript/Node.js, Python, React.
• Infrastructure as code: AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation.
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jest/Vitest, Playwright, CloudWatch monitoring.
