Senior Associate - Finance Accounting (LE/GL)

About the role

EY is looking for a Senior Associate in Legal Entity (LE) and General Ledger (GL) accounting. The role supports financial reporting and accounting for legal entities, drives process improvements and works with cross-functional teams, mainly on the Record-to-Report and Source-to-Pay functions.

Key responsibilities

• Support a team of accounting professionals in LE and GL accounting and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments and adjustments
• Perform account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, and resolve discrepancies
• Manage entity setups, organization structure and chart of accounts
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and internal reporting packages
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
• Analyse financial data (ratios, variations, trends) for reports and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Liaise with US, Americas and global-based roles and guide team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, and CPA certification
• 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role
• In-depth understanding of US and international accounting principles
• Fluent English and ability to work with stakeholders and cross-cultural teams

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (SFRS or IFRS)
• Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerApps), data analytics tools and ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
