Security Engineer – Cloud & AI Focus

About the role

Caylent, an AI‑first cloud services company, is looking for a Security Engineer to strengthen its security and compliance posture across AWS and SaaS environments. You will improve vulnerability management, automate security controls, and support the SecOps on‑call team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security and vulnerability assessments on cloud and mobile workloads using automated and manual methods.
• Develop, tune, and monitor automated security tests and alerts with AWS tools such as Inspector, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Lambda, and Security Hub.
• Design and execute vulnerability scans, coordinate findings with application teams, and guide remediation.
• Advise project teams on security risks, create threat models, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Build and integrate security tooling, including cloud‑native services, containers, and Kubernetes clusters.
• Lead junior team members, deliver developer‑focused training, and support incident response on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or 2‑4 years of relevant IT/security experience.
• 3+ years working with AWS or other public cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC (YAML, Terraform, CDK) and scripting (bash, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑native architectures.

Required skills

• AWS security services: Inspector, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Lambda, Security Hub.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CDK, YAML.
• Scripting/programming: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Node.js (and optionally TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, Rust).
• Container and orchestration platforms: ECS, EKS, Fargate, Kubernetes.
• Network protocols and security fundamentals (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, routing, etc.).
