Senior Java Server-side Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Server-side Engineer to design and evolve a Backend‑for‑Frontend service layer that powers high‑traffic mobile experiences for global clients. You will work closely with engineers, product partners, designers, and QA to deliver reliable APIs and high‑quality code.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the Backend‑for‑Frontend API layer used by mobile applications.
• Implement REST endpoints and service contracts that support mobile user flows.
• Optimize service performance through profiling, analysis, and targeted improvements.
• Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability, readability, and reliability.
• Write clean, testable code with strong unit test coverage.
• Integrate with existing backend services and handle bespoke and legacy dependencies.
• Fix defects by diagnosing root causes and shipping safe, timely patches.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver features and contribute to CI workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years of Java experience building server‑side applications.
• Strong collaboration skills working with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent solution design abilities for open‑ended problems.
• Self‑starter mindset with ownership and proactive communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2).
