Remote Hospitality Bookkeeper (Contractor)

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in the hospitality industry. You will manage daily hotel accounting, perform reconciliations, generate reports, and support leadership in financial operations for a portfolio of hotel clients.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily hotel transactions, including revenues, expenses, and payroll.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare regular financial statements and management reports.
• Collaborate with client leadership to address financial queries and support decision‑making.
• Utilize accounting software such as SAGE, QuickBooks, and Excel; optionally work with Bill.com or Ramp.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in the hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting and daily financial operations.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and work 9 AM–5 PM EST.
• Available to work as an independent contractor.
