Front Desk Manager – Cruise Ship

About the role

The Front Desk Manager is responsible for delivering premium, memorable service to every guest on board, acting as the primary liaison between the Front Desk team and all hotel and marine departments. This role ensures seamless operations, guest satisfaction, and emergency preparedness throughout the ship.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a constant presence of professionalism and emergency preparedness in both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house Front Desk operations.
• Serve as the brand voice and physical representative of the ship, delivering personalized service to guests and crew.
• Lead team development, performance management, and financial results while driving guest satisfaction.
• Collect and analyze operational metrics such as guest counts, desk volume, and interaction trends.
• Oversee inventory, program access, and maintenance requirements for Front Desk work areas and tools.
• Ensure precision in financial transactions, cash float handling, and related reporting.
• Respond to escalated guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and effective resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in a Front Desk managerial or General Manager role on a cruise line.
• Experience handling 100+ guests in a 4‑ to 5‑star hotel environment.
• Proven ability to supervise 30+ team members in Guest Services.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
