Principal Cloud Software Architect

About the role

Caylent, an AI‑first cloud services firm, is looking for a Principal Cloud Software Architect to lead its largest, most strategic client engagements. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver AI‑first, production‑ready solutions at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead software development teams to deliver complex, AI‑first solutions in highly scaled environments.
• Own technical requirements gathering, backlog creation, architectural decisions and integration of legacy systems.
• Conduct discovery sessions with senior client stakeholders and translate requirements into actionable backlogs.
• Produce architecture diagrams and defend designs to engineering and client leadership.
• Mentor engineers, manage risk, and serve as senior escalation point on engagements.
• Support pre‑sales activities, including scope development and contract reviews.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software development and cloud‑native experience.
• Proven ability to manage professional services engagements with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills for senior technical and business audiences.
• Demonstrated credibility with senior client leadership.

Required skills

• Deep expertise with AWS.
• Backend development in Python, Node.js, C# or TypeScript.
• Frontend experience with React, Vue or .NET MVC.
• Knowledge of DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Experience with API integrations, microservices, event‑based architectures.
• AI/ML development, including LLMs, GenAI, automated testing, CI/CD, IaC.
