Organisational Development Associate

About the role

Canonical’s Talent Development team is looking for an Organisational Development Associate to work directly with real teams, diagnose health and management effectiveness, and drive concrete improvements. This remote position offers early‑career professionals a fast‑track learning environment with senior practitioners as coaches.

Key responsibilities

• Embed within a team to observe daily operations and identify what works and what doesn’t.
• Run diagnostics on team health, engagement, 360‑feedback and translate findings into clear reports.
• Design, drive and implement end‑to‑end improvements to how a team works, alongside a senior practitioner.
• Support managers in delivering effective 360‑performance feedback and help translate feedback into actionable commitments.
• Contribute to building the function’s playbook – standards, tools and shared language for organisational development.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading and organising initiatives early in your career (e.g., startup, student society, military, team projects).
• Strong motivation for people and organisational development, backed by study in organisational/industrial psychology, behavioural science or a comparable field.
• Exceptional academic record and up to two years of experience since graduation.
• Business‑level written and spoken English, organised, accurate and results‑oriented.
• Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.

Required skills

• Ability to analyse data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
• Comfort discussing change with senior leaders and confidence to challenge ideas.
