Medical Affairs Head – Argentina

About the role

The Country Medical Affairs Head is the lead medical representative in Argentina and a trusted advisor to the Country Leadership Team. This senior position defines and executes both near‑term and long‑term medical strategy, drives scientific excellence across disease areas, and ensures launch readiness while shaping the external healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the country Medical Affairs strategy, aligning with global priorities and serving as the scientific voice within the leadership team.
• Engage policymakers, payers, scientific societies, regulators, KOLs and other ecosystem partners to shape the external healthcare environment.
• Lead integrated evidence generation strategies, including real‑world evidence, investigator‑initiated trials, observational studies and implementation science initiatives.
• Drive launch excellence across the product lifecycle, covering medical readiness, evidence requirements, KOL engagement, diagnostics, biomarkers and reimbursement support.
• Build and expand strategic partnerships that improve patient outcomes, access and guideline development.
• Transform and develop a high‑performing Medical Affairs organization through talent management, digital enablement and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 10+ years in Medical Affairs with 3‑5 years in senior leadership, managing teams of 10‑20+ associates.
• Proven ability to translate scientific and market insights into impactful business and medical strategies.
• Extensive experience working with KOLs, scientific societies, regulators, payers and policymakers.
• Track record of leading organizational change, building high‑performing teams and driving cross‑functional collaboration.
