Lead JavaScript Engineer (React Native / Mobile)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead JavaScript Engineer to drive the technical direction and hands‑on development of large‑scale React Native applications, starting with an iOS‑first approach and later expanding to Android. You will combine strong coding expertise with technical leadership, guiding architecture, mentoring the team, and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on development of mobile applications while shaping technical strategy for iOS‑first delivery and Android follow‑up.
• Establish engineering standards, coding guidelines, and design patterns for the mobile team.
• Design and implement security, scalability, and integration solutions covering authentication, CMS, and personalization.
• Guide technical decisions, conduct code and architecture reviews, and maintain consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps that align engineering decisions with business objectives.
• Evaluate and select tools, libraries, and frameworks that support long‑term maintainability.
• Coach and mentor engineers, promoting best engineering practices.
• Create architecture diagrams, integration flows, and technical documentation.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and technical debt, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to CI/CD strategy and manage releases for mobile applications.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with proven senior or lead roles on mobile projects.
• Strong leadership abilities in guiding technical decisions and mentoring engineers.
• Experience delivering enterprise‑scale applications and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience with React Native and Expo in production mobile apps.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2) and strong communication skills.
