FP&A Senior Consultant

About the role

EY is hiring an FP&A Senior Consultant in Buenos Aires. The consultant delivers high-quality financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis across business units or client engagements, applying structured analytical thinking and financial modelling to support decision-making. The role also contributes to more automated, insight-led ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate planning and forecasting outputs, supporting budgets, forecasts and long-range plans with high-quality analytical inputs.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of financial data and assumptions.
• Produce clear variance analysis and performance commentary across P&L, cash flow and KPIs, explaining key drivers and trends.
• Support scenario and sensitivity analysis and contribute forward-looking insights.
• Apply automation, standardized templates and analytical tools to improve the speed and reliability of FP&A deliverables.
• Strengthen analytical, commercial and financial storytelling skills and develop readiness for progression into FP&A Manager roles.
• Prepare financial models, forecasts and variance analysis, and support forecast assumptions and planning inputs.
• Use analytics and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI for dashboards and reports, and support adoption of new FP&A tools.
• Support finance and business stakeholders with performance analysis, prepare materials for performance reviews and planning discussions, and respond to ad-hoc analytical requests.
• Coach analysts through quality reviews, share knowledge and propose improvements.
• Track KPIs on forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness, and help evaluate cost initiatives and value-creation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; CPA, CA, ACCA or MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 4-7 years of relevant finance experience, including 2+ years in FP&A, management reporting or analytical roles.
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, planning and reporting, and supporting business stakeholders with insights.
• Experience in complex or multi-stakeholder environments preferred.

Required skills

• Budgeting, forecasting, planning, financial modelling and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Working knowledge of analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Familiarity with planning and EPM platforms such as Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud and Adaptive.
