Employee Relations Counselor, Latin America

About the role

Chevron is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Counselor to support its Latin America operations. The role follows a hybrid work model, combining remote and on‑site work as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end investigative processes, including intake, planning, interviews, evidence gathering, analysis, reporting and case system updates.
• Provide consultative HR services on performance management, discipline and corrective actions to managers at all levels.
• Facilitate dispute and conflict resolution, partner with Legal, Global Security, IT Forensics, Labor Relations and Compliance, and represent Chevron at unemployment claim hearings.
• Lead or support special projects and benchmark external ER practices through professional organizations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in employee relations, investigations or conflict resolution.
• Fluent English and practical knowledge of organizational policies, local labor legislation and HR best practices.
• Strong analytical, communication and independent decision‑making abilities, with a proven track record handling confidential information.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Co‑Pilot.
