Data Engineer (PostgreSQL & Databricks)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, develop, integrate, deliver, maintain and support data pipelines and applications. You will work with PostgreSQL, SQL Server and the Databricks platform, delivering customer‑facing solutions in a fully remote LATAM team.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design and deliver high‑quality code independently, following industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines on Databricks, including Unity Catalog, notebooks and pipeline creation.
• Administer RDS PostgreSQL, Aurora and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Diagnose and fix production issues, communicating with development leads.
• Build enterprise‑scale applications using cloud technologies, microservices and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of software development experience building commercial applications.
• Proven experience with Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices.
• Self‑motivated with ability to quickly learn new technologies and programming languages.

Required skills

• PostgreSQL (RDS, Aurora) administration.
• Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Databricks platform, Unity Catalog, notebooks, pipeline creation.
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Serverless, Event‑Driven Architecture, SOA, Microservices, Microfrontend).
• CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code.
• Professional software engineering practices across the full SDLC.
