About the role

The Chef De Partie – Baker is responsible for the daily operation of the bakery shop on board, ensuring high‑quality bread production, compliance with health regulations, and efficient team management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee smooth daily bakery operations, production forecasts, and waste control to stay within budget.
• Direct, coach, and evaluate bakery staff together with the Head Baker, ensuring punctuality, proper uniform, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain US Public Health (USPH) compliance, prepare for inspections, and ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
• Manage inventory requisition, transportation of supplies, and accurate daily consumption reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience as a CDP Baker in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or similar environment.
• Culinary school degree and strong management skills in a multicultural setting.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of United States Public Health rules and regulations.
• Intermediate computer software proficiency.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, adjusting entries).
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
