Certified Public Accountant – Client-facing Presence & Accounting Support

About the role

We are seeking an advanced bookkeeper with a teaching background who can confidently present financial information to clients via video calls. The role supports the day‑to‑day accounting operations of small and medium‑sized business clients in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client‑facing contact, presenting financial results and answering questions on calls or video meetings.
• Manage daily bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including bank and credit‑card reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, bill pay and collections.
• Prepare and present financial reports such as P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Oversee month‑end close, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Maintain audit‑ready records in QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems, flagging discrepancies and process gaps.

Required profile

• Proven independent bookkeeping expertise, capable of owning a client’s books end‑to‑end.
• Teaching or education background with the ability to explain finance concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
• Comfortable presenting on video calls and interacting regularly with clients.
• Formal accounting education or coursework.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online proficiency.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP for small‑business reporting.
