Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Compliance Analyst supports Assurant’s compliance initiatives by performing testing, risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting on business operations and vendor oversight. This role helps ensure adherence to federal, state, and internal regulatory requirements while fostering an ethical culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct compliance reviews and risk assessments across departments to verify alignment with legal and regulatory standards.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Monitor and analyze new and existing laws, regulations, and policies, communicating impacts to stakeholders.
• Investigate compliance issues, partner with internal teams to implement corrective actions, and prepare related documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with business units to strengthen controls and reduce compliance risk exposure.

Required profile

• 3+ years of progressive experience in compliance, testing, risk management, auditing, or a similar analytical role.
• Knowledge of industry regulations relevant to mortgage, insurance, warranty, service contracts, or financial services.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
