Associate Director, FP&A Global Service Lines

About the role

EY's Global Service Line FP&A teams partner with Service Line CFOs and leadership teams across Assurance, Consulting, Strategy and Transactions, and Tax to support the All In strategy and key Finance priorities. As Associate Director, you will advise Service Line CFOs and senior leaders, combining FP&A discipline, commercial interpretation and performance insight to help them understand what drives results, where risks and opportunities emerge, and which actions improve business outcomes. The role sits in a global, matrixed organization and works closely with Finance, Reporting and Data Analytics, GDS and other teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted finance adviser and first point of contact for assigned Service Line leaders, linking financial results to commercial, operational and strategic performance drivers.
• Support Service Line CFOs and senior leaders with analysis, modelling and practical recommendations for planning, performance management and decision-making.
• Deliver accurate, concise and action-oriented weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reporting and insight.
• Support planning, forecasting and budgeting by turning strategy, market context and operational assumptions into financial plans, projections and performance targets.
• Analyse revenue, margin, cost, pipeline, backlog, wins, losses, utilisation and productivity to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Provide scenario and option analysis, stating assumptions, sensitivities, trade-offs, risks and recommended actions.
• Prepare leadership updates, performance reviews and executive presentations.
• Partner with Finance, Reporting and Data Analytics, GDS and others to improve reporting, automate routine outputs, strengthen data quality and usability of management information.
• Promote the use of AI, analytics and Global Finance tools, and coach colleagues and share knowledge.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline, preferably with a relevant professional qualification.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in FP&A, business analysis, commercial finance, management reporting, strategy, analytics or finance business partnering in a complex organisation.
• Proven ability to deliver financial and operational insight, modelling and stakeholder-ready recommendations.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and influencing through commercial judgement and clear communication.
• Ability to work independently across multiple priorities and collaborate across cultures, locations and time zones.

Required skills

• Strong FP&A, financial analysis and performance management capability.
• Financial modelling and analytical capability, including evaluating options and developing recommendations.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and reporting, analytics and data visualisation tools.
• Practical approach to AI, automation and continuous improvement.
