Associate Director, Commercial Finance and Revenue Models

About the role

EY's Global FP&A Account Support team is hiring an Associate Director for its Global Delivery Services (GDS) team. The role sits at the intersection of technical accounting and commercial finance, ensuring consistent, compliant and future-forward revenue recognition across complex client engagements, strategic accounts and broader portfolios. It has a direct line of sight to account performance and P&L outcomes, and acts as a bridge between global accounting policy and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on emerging revenue recognition scenarios for complex contracts and sales arrangements, and partner with Sales, Legal, Operations and account teams to structure deals that are commercially effective, scalable and compliant
• Act as subject matter expert on revenue recognition, advising on IFRS and EY global policies (multiple performance obligations, variable consideration, fee sharing)
• Translate pricing and contract structures into Mercury and SAP configurations, and work with regional and GDS teams on consistent contract setup and execution
• Develop scalable playbooks, frameworks and best practices, and train regional finance and GDS teams
• Lead the evolution toward output-, outcome- and value-based revenue models, defining metrics, performance measures and revenue triggers
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, embedding Finance early in deal pursuits
• Lead the annual NSR and cost rate review with Regional Finance teams, and embed a consistent rate governance framework for multi-country and Managed Services engagements

Required profile

• Experience advising large, complex deals on revenue recognition (IFRS and EY global policies) and margin, especially across complex contract arrangements
• Experience leading and developing teams across global and GDS environments
• Strong communication and influencing skills at senior stakeholder level
