Associate - Cybersecurity Operations Analyst (L1)

About the role

PwC is hiring an Associate - Cybersecurity Operations Analyst (L1) in its Acceleration Center Buenos Aires. The role sits within the Cybersecurity practice and supports cybersecurity operations focused on monitoring client systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities and helping address security issues across a range of environments. It is an entry-level position focused on learning, adaptability and reliable delivery, with exposure to varied challenges and practical experience in cybersecurity generalist work.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts across client environments to identify possible threats and unusual activity
• Investigate incidents by gathering evidence, documenting findings and escalating issues based on severity and impact
• Perform initial triage of security tickets, validate symptoms and route items to the appropriate response path
• Review endpoint, network and cloud logs to support incident analysis and vulnerability assessment
• Apply cybersecurity frameworks, policies and control requirements when handling operational security tasks
• Support containment and recovery actions for security incidents under senior guidance
• Record case details, status updates and remediation steps in ticketing and monitoring tools
• Contribute to security monitoring routines, regulatory response activities and privacy compliance tasks across managed service engagements
• Ensure correct Information Security Management practices and understand responsible Information Management, including Information Security and Data Protection

Required profile

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• Oral and written proficiency in English
• Preferred: at least one certification aligned to enterprise cybersecurity governance and operations, such as CISSP or CISM, or equivalent security credentials
• Preferred: internship, coursework or project exposure to cybersecurity operations, and experience applying security monitoring, vulnerability assessment or incident response concepts
• Preferred: experience working in client-facing or managed services environments with changing priorities
