Assistant Director - Rapid Response Reporting

About the role

EY is looking for an Assistant Director to join its Global R&DA Leadership Reporting Pillar, a small dedicated team within a multi-national team that supports financial reporting, analytics and insights for strategic and ad hoc business requests. The role works closely with senior stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of customers to design, develop and test reports and dashboards that support strategic initiatives and inform leadership decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce reporting specifications, design and develop reports and dashboards, manage user acceptance testing, create user documentation and deliver demonstrations and training sessions.
• Act as a trusted business advisor to finance and business stakeholders, building their understanding of business requirements and managing expectations on priorities, timelines, risks and deliverables.
• Ensure reports and dashboards follow established build standards, governance requirements and approved style templates.
• Act as a liaison between source data providers and the reporting pillar.
• Support process improvement, document reporting processes and business logic, and identify ways to simplify, standardise and automate processes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in professional services or other leading global organisations.
• Strong aptitude for commercial financial reporting and analysis, and experience with large, complex financial datasets.
• Able to work independently in a geographically diverse team and thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining complex reports and dashboards, including interpreting and improving those built by others.

Required skills

• Power BI for designing, developing and maintaining complex reports and dashboards.
• Advanced SQL queries to extract, interrogate, transform and analyse large datasets.
• Advanced Excel, including complex formulas, data modelling, Power Query and automation.
• Understanding of concepts such as Wins, Pipeline, Backlog, Revenue and Margin.
