Assistant Director, C&I Financial Reporting and Analytics

About the role

EY is looking for an Assistant Director with 10+ years of experience in professional services or other leading global organisations to join its Global R&DA team. The role sits in the Leadership Reporting Pillar of the Global Clients & Industries (C&I) organisation and provides financial reporting, analytics and insights support for strategic and ad hoc business requests, working closely with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, timely and commercially focused reporting and analysis to support business decisions in the Global C&I organisation.
• Ensure regular reports are delivered on time and accurately, managing updates and enhancements.
• Support leadership and business stakeholders with data-driven insights to ad hoc requests.
• Develop a deep understanding of the EY reporting portfolio and explain complex reporting logic to stakeholders.
• Reconcile data from multiple sources and investigate variances.
• Act as a trusted business advisor, present findings and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Drive process improvement, document reporting processes and lead the development, testing and deployment of new reporting tools.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in professional services or other leading global organisations.
• Strong understanding of commercial financial reporting and analysis.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a geographically diverse team.
• Proactive, curious and able to handle multiple priorities and competing deadlines.

Required skills

• SQL: design and develop queries, and troubleshoot complex ones written by others.
• Power BI: advanced experience building reports and dashboards.
• Advanced Excel, including complex formulas, data modelling and automation.
• Experience with large financial and operational datasets.
• Understanding of concepts such as Wins, Pipeline, Backlog, Revenue and Margin.
