Accounting Manager – Finance Operations (Buenos Aires)

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead the Finance Operations team within EY Global Delivery Services in Buenos Aires. The role oversees end‑to‑end accounting services for Latin America clients, ensuring accurate financial statements and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of seniors and staff, reviewing all deliverables before client hand‑over.
• Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, equity, cash flow) and related notes for multiple GAAP frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, local standards).
• Coordinate audit processes and manage month‑end closing activities, including manual journal entries and adjustments.
• Act as the main client contact during transition and post‑go‑live, providing advisory support.
• Collaborate with EY locations in India, the US, and Latin America to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Monitor operational metrics, analyze budget vs. actual, and prepare project budgets.
• Support ERP or other IT tool implementations and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Accounting degree (CPA or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in shared service centres or external audit environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex transition projects and manage multiple teams.
• Advanced English communication skills.

Required skills

• Preparation of financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP.
