Accountant – US GAAP for Hospitality Clients (Remote)

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a sharp, reliable Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting for a portfolio of hospitality clients operating under US GAAP. This client‑facing, high‑ownership position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in LATAM or Europe while delivering accurate, timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle accounting for multiple hospitality clients, including general ledger management, month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Coordinate directly with clients to gather information, clarify transactions, and communicate results.
• Identify discrepancies, process gaps, or improvement opportunities and act proactively.
• Adapt quickly to evolving client needs across hotels, restaurants, and related businesses.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience with full close‑cycle ownership.
• Solid, practical knowledge of US GAAP applied consistently.
• Experience serving US‑based or US‑facing clients.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Self‑directed, organized, and able to work without micromanagement.
