Head of Finance – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Head of Finance to build and own the finance function for a fast‑growing DTC sports and apparel brand. You will work directly with the founders, providing real‑time insight into cash flow, profitability, inventory, financing and overall financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain daily finance dashboards and live cash‑flow models covering revenue, spend, cash position, contribution margin, purchase‑order schedules, debt and advertising spend.
• Own company‑level and channel‑level P&Ls, accurately categorising manufacturing, freight, fulfillment, creator, contractor and operating expenses.
• Manage the month‑end close process in QuickBooks Online and oversee outsourced bookkeeping partners.
• Handle banking and cash management, including account reconciliation, vendor payments, wires and banking relationships.
• Run payroll through Gusto (or similar), covering onboarding, salary adjustments, off‑cycle runs and worker classification.
• Source, negotiate and manage credit facilities and financing options such as bank lines of credit and revenue‑based financing.
• Develop financial forecasts and scenario analyses to support inventory purchasing, advertising spend and working‑capital planning.
• Partner with operations and supply‑chain teams to model PO deposits, supplier terms, freight costs, landed COGS and product margins.
• Oversee sales‑tax compliance, contractor invoicing, accrual accounting and engage external specialists when needed.
• Maintain investor‑ready financial records, projections and documentation, and provide rapid financial guidance to leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of finance experience with a strong hands‑on background scaling DTC/e‑commerce brands.
• Proven track record managing finance for a growing e‑commerce business, ideally scaling revenue from $10M‑$20M toward $50M+ or supporting a $100M+ operation.
• Experience working directly with founders or senior leadership in a fast‑paced environment.
