Remote Caption Translator – Spanish (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a remote Caption/Subtitle Translator specialized in Latin American Spanish. You will work with a project team, reporting to the project manager, to deliver high-quality subtitles and captions for a variety of media.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and post-edit captions/subtitles and other content using Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) and transcreation techniques.
• Correct cultural and linguistic issues introduced by machine translation while respecting length constraints.
• Maintain and update the translation database through a Translation Management System.
• Provide quality assurance and ensure compliance with localization guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver translation services and implement feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, linguistics or a related field.
• At least four years of professional translation experience.
• Fluency in Latin American Spanish and English.
• Strong grasp of grammar, terminology and localization standards.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Translation Management System tools.
• Experience with Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) and transcreation.
• Knowledge of localization guidelines and standards.
