Technical Operations Engineer

About the role

Profound is building the next‑generation marketing platform for AI‑driven search. We are looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to own the reliability, security, and scalability of our identity, endpoint, and IT infrastructure. The role sits at the intersection of engineering and operations, turning reactive support into proactive, automated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Triage and resolve technical issues with an emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.
• Manage and troubleshoot macOS devices and development environments at scale.
• Investigate root causes of multi‑system failures across Google Workspace, MDM, and AWS.
• Build runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and documentation to elevate team capabilities.
• Identify recurring issue patterns and implement systematic fixes.
• Lead projects on device provisioning, access control, and compliance automation.
• Design self‑service solutions that enable engineers to move faster.
• Partner with security to implement and maintain compliance controls.
• Support rapid hiring by streamlining onboarding and provisioning processes.
• Mentor future IT team members on troubleshooting methodology and systems thinking.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in IT operations or technical support, preferably supporting engineering teams in high‑growth SaaS or AI companies.
• Systems thinker who traces dependencies and asks why something broke.
• Strong incident management skills, including triage, root‑cause analysis, and pattern recognition.
• Clear communicator able to explain complex technical issues to both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Self‑directed and proactive.
