Staff Software Engineer, IDSM

About the role

Domino is seeking a senior staff software engineer to join its Model Development Lifecycle team. You will work on building and scaling AI/ML platforms that enable customers to develop, register, and deploy models at enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to design deployment solutions for AWS SageMaker, Azure ML and other platforms.
• Introduce a Data Science Catalog for global resource discovery and summarization.
• Integrate model monitoring for holistic health and performance visibility.
• Enhance tagging and discoverability across Domino entities.
• Expand LLM hosting capabilities for scale, performance and logging.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor.
• Strong background in AI/ML model development, training, optimization and lifecycle management.
• Proven experience building high‑performance back‑end systems in distributed environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with front‑end, API and third‑party integrations.

Required skills

• AI/ML frameworks and platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GPUs, Ray, Spark).
• API design and implementation (RESTful APIs, gRPC).
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Performance profiling and optimization in cloud environments.
• Testing frameworks and CI/CD pipeline setup.
• Distributed computing frameworks (Apache Spark, Ray).
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
