Senior Video Engineer – Real‑time Video Platform (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Video Engineer to design, build and maintain a high‑performance, low‑latency video platform that serves broadcast, sports, league and streaming partners. The role is fully remote and focuses on end‑to‑end video pipelines in both cloud and on‑premises environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy distributed video processing pipelines with sub‑second latency.
• Implement and optimise real‑time encoding, decoding, transport and image‑enhancement workflows.
• Support deployment, monitoring and operational reliability of mission‑critical video services.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to improve scalability and performance.
• Provide on‑call support for field operations, including evenings and weekends when required.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Significant professional experience developing software in both C++ and Rust.
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 (64‑bit) and Linux development environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• SMPTE broadcast standards.
• Video and image processing techniques such as demosaicing, denoising, colour‑space conversion and image enhancement.
