Senior Software Engineer – Image Processing & Analytics

About the role

Satellogic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Image Processing and Analytics team in Buenos Aires. You will lead the architecture and management of cloud‑native and on‑prem development pipelines that transform raw satellite imagery into actionable data for a wide range of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud‑native and on‑prem pipelines for ground‑segment software.
• Enhance system robustness and accelerate delivery of new features.
• Collaborate closely with the broader Software Engineering discipline to define architectural best practices.
• Work with scientists and engineers to translate image‑analysis algorithms into production‑ready code.
• Mentor junior team members and promote a low‑ego, pragmatic problem‑solving culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software architecture and engineering, preferably in a research or R&D environment.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with scientists, engineers, and product teams.
• Curiosity, pragmatism, and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience with satellite or image‑processing domains is a plus.

Required skills

• Cloud‑native architecture design.
