Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our agile software development team building a core payment processing platform. In a small, fast‑moving team you will design, execute, and maintain manual test cases, ensuring product quality as we scale rapidly.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases and test plans.
• Create and manage test suites for new features and initiatives.
• Perform manual testing, log defects with reproducible steps, and coordinate defect mitigation with developers.
• Provide quality metrics and mentor development teams on quality best practices.
• Collaborate with SDETs and architects to prioritize test cases for automation.

Required profile

• Strong experience in test planning, traceability, and test case management.
• Ability to prioritize testing based on business risk and to identify gaps not covered by requirements.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Expert‑level understanding of quality fundamentals and testing highly available systems.

Required skills

• Manual testing of complex, high‑availability applications.
• Defect reporting with full reproducibility.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Virtualization, microservices architecture, and database navigation.
• Scripting in Bash, Zsh, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of application security, PCI compliance, and payment processing standards (ACH, NACH).
