Senior Project Manager - Information Security Programs

About the role

EY's Enterprise Security Program is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, global information security initiatives. The role suits a project leader who connects strategy to execution, brings together cross-functional teams and drives outcomes that reduce enterprise risk while supporting business value and operational resilience. It calls for strong leadership without direct authority, clear executive communication and coordination across Information Security, Member Firms, Enterprise Technology, Client Technology, vendors and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex global information security programs and projects from initiation through delivery, managing scope, plans, milestones, risks, budgets and outcomes.
• Turn enterprise security objectives into execution plans that support measurable benefits and risk reduction.
• Coordinate cross-functional and geographically distributed teams across Information Security, Enterprise Technology, Client Technology, Member Firms, vendors and contractors.
• Drive project governance, status reporting, issue escalation and decisions with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies and RAID items using tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps or equivalents.
• Identify risks, issues and resource constraints and build mitigation plans, and support continuous improvement of security processes and governance.
• Mentor and coach project team members and build team engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex global information security, technology or risk-related programs from start to finish.
• Understanding of information security technologies and environments, including cloud, network, endpoint, messaging and data security.
• Experience managing project plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets and executive reporting.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS Controls, or comparable ones.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors, and leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Ability to explain technical topics in business terms and to operate in a global, matrixed environment.

Required skills

• Ideally: PMP, CISSP, CISM or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with project management platforms such as MS Project or Azure DevOps.
• Experience supporting compliance, privacy or regulatory requirements, including Privacy Impact Assessments and GDPR considerations.
• Experience coordinating vendors and contractors on complex technology or security programs.
