Senior Organisational Development Practitioner

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Senior Organisational Development Practitioner to lead coaching and organisational development across its globally distributed teams. You will work both from the central Talent Development team and embedded within leader groups, shaping how management excellence is defined and delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Coach senior leaders to meet a clear standard of management excellence.
• Diagnose organisational leadership health and create actionable improvement plans.
• Facilitate difficult conversations and turn 360‑feedback into concrete commitments.
• Develop and mentor field practitioners, raising the overall quality of coaching.
• Define and uphold best‑practice standards for coaching and organisational development at Canonical.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new ways of working across a globally distributed company.

Required profile

• Proven experience coaching senior leaders in a fast‑moving, technology‑focused environment.
• Ability to quickly earn credibility with directors and senior executives.
• Strong diagnostic skills to assess organisational leadership and design improvement plans.
• Track record of developing other practitioners and raising practice standards.
• Comfortable working remotely across EMEA and the Americas.
