Senior Network Engineer (Hybrid Cloud, GCP)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate hybrid cloud networking environments that connect on‑premise infrastructure with Google Cloud Platform. The role is fully remote, contract for six months, and will work closely with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams in an agile setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain hybrid networking architectures linking on‑premise systems with Google Cloud.
• Manage GCP networking components such as VPCs, VPNs, Interconnect, load balancers, and firewall policies.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues including routing, DNS, load balancing, and connectivity.
• Build and manage networking infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Design secure network segmentation and firewall strategies.
• Improve network reliability, observability, and operational efficiency.
• Automate networking tasks through scripting and infrastructure automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Google Cloud networking services.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP routing, DNS, and load balancing.
• Hands‑on experience using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across multi‑layer network environments.
• Solid understanding of network security principles.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, contract setting.
